Ode to a Homeless Guy

i wrote this in honor of my brothers roommate...and because i was bored in class.

Ode to a Homeless Guy
a poem by Q

Let us sing a song of praises
for the boy who experiences the phases
of deep and wondering comicals
of the amazing dorm life chronicles

the year launched so pleasantly
boys in an apartment, there were three
and so they began in anticipation
a year of friendship and celebration

then one day boy three announced
he was moving out, his residence renounced
"Im going away," he proclaimed
and all of his possessions he came to claim

"You are homeless now," crowed the others
"but since we consider ourselves your brothers
we offer you shelter here on our couch
though threadbare, improved from sleeping on the floor, ouch!"

so with bravery the third boy went
to the couch and common room that he had been lent
and made camp there in the living room
and made his exit with a flourish and a boom

His pan hangs in the fire extinguishers place
on the couch, people begin to familiarize his face
and dubbed he was 'the Homeless Guy'
and there he stayed as the year passed by

And there forever a plaque will hang
where a boy made a statement with a bang
and that Homeless Guy still resides
and over all the Homeless of the dorm does he regally preside

and that ladies and gentlemen in the poem about the homeless guy in my brothers apartment in lander. he really did move out of their room and into the living room. strange guy, that one. well thats all for tonight folks. hasta la vista.

Pre Super Bowl Preparations

well we actually did it. me and my roommate moved out of our apartment and into the one next door. all in about six hours. which i would like to state for the record is very impressive considering we had some bizarre amount of stuff for people who have only lived together for five months. very impressive. and our room looks soooooo cool. really. we moved the beds around so there is like this huge open space in the middle and mira decorated the walls really cool and stuff. its very exciting.
i am now going, under great duress, to see the super bowl and my friends house. those who know me well are sitting there saying to themselves "rivqa is watching the super bowl? yeah right. does she even know what the point of football is?" and the answer to that question would be no, i have no idea what is going on but since i am a pittsburgher in a foreign land i much show team solidarity and support. therefore i am going to watch the superbowl. i hear the commercials are really funny. some people watch the game just for the commercials. which i think is sad. but richard dean anderson made a commercial for the game. i like him. i hope they show it alot.
well its off to the land of men beating each other up so they can hold on to this little stupid ball and taking my brother to BB's which will clean out my bank account for the next three months. i love having a teenage brother. and so ends the superbowl preperations. stay tuned for the after superbowl burnout, later tonight.
